ถ้าอยู่ในราชอาณาจักรเกิน 90 วัน คนต่างด้าวผู้นั้นมีหน้าที่ต้องรายงานตัวแจ้งที่พักอาศัยต่อพนักงานสำนักงานตรวจคนเข้าเมือง ทุก90 วัน เจ้าของบ้านหรือผู้ครอบครองเคหสถาน หรือผู้จัดการโรงแรมซึ่งรับคนต่างด้าวซึ่งได้รับอนุญาตให้อยู่ในราชอาณาจักรเป็นการชั่วคราว เข้าพักอาศัย จะต้องแจ้งต่อพนักงานเจ้าหน้าที่ ณ ที่ทำการตรวจคนเข้าเมืองซึ่งตั้งอยู่ในท้องที่ เคหสถาน หรือโรงแรมนั้นอยู่ ภายในยี่สิบสี่ชั่วโมง นับแต่เวลาที่คนต่างด้าวเข้าพักอาศัย ถ้าท้องที่ใดไม่มีที่ทำการตรวจคนเข้าเมืองตั้งอยู่ ให้แจ้งต่อเจ้าพนักงานตำรวจ ณ สถานีตำรวจในท้องที่นั้นในกรณีที่บ้าน เคหสถาน หรือโรงแรมที่คนต่างด้าวเข้าพักอาศัย ตามวรรคหนึ่งตั้งอยู่ในเขตท้องที่กรุงเทพมหานคร ให้แจ้งต่อพนักงานเจ้าหน้าที่ ณ กองตรวจคนเข้าเมือง การแจ้งตามวรรคหนึ่งและวรรคสองให้เป็นไปตามระเบียบที่อธิบดีกำหนด” ในการแจ้งที่พักคนต่างด้าวที่เข้าพักอาศัยในเคหะสถานซึ่งได้แก่ โรงแรมที่ได้รับอนุญาตตาม ตม.30 ในหน้า login เข้าระบบ หรือกดดูขั้นตอนการเข้าระบบแจ้งที่พัก เพื่อเป็นการอำนวยความสะดวกให้กับสถานประกอบการ สำนักงานตรวจคนเข้าเมือง ได้พัฒนาระบบแจ้งที่พักให้สามารถใช้งานร่วมกับเครื่องอ่านหนังสือเดินทางในการแจ้งที่พักอาศัยของคนต่างด้าว สามารถตรวจสอบรายละเอียดรุ่น และยี่ห้อของเครื่องอ่านหนังสือเดินทาง รวมทั้งดาวน์โหลด Driver เพื่อทำการติดตั้งโปรแกรมใช้งานเครื่องอ่านหนังสือเดินทาง และคู่มือการใช้งานระบบฯ ได้จากหน้าจอ Log in เข้าระบบแจ้งที่พักอาศัย ผ่านทางเว็บไซต์ www.immigration.go.th *** วิธีการกรอกบัญชีรายชื่อคนต่างด้าวที่เข้าพักอาศัย(แบบ ตม.30) กรณีมาแจ้งด้วยตนเองหรือแจ้งทางไปรษณีย์ลงทะเบียน แบบการแจ้งรับคนต่างด้าวเข้าพักอาศัย สำหรับเจ้าบ้าน เจ้าของหรือผู้ครอบครองเคหะสถาน(ตม.30) ประกอบด้วยเอกสาร 2 ส่วน(2 แผ่น)ด้วยกัน ส่วนแรก เป็นการกรอกรายละเอียดข้อมูลของเจ้าบ้านฯและที่ตั้งสถานที่ที่มีคนต่างด้าวเข้าพักอาศัย ส่วนที่ 2 เป็นบัญชีรายชื่อคนต่างด้าวที่เข้าพักอาศัย การกรอกรายละเอียดในแบบตม.30 ส่วนที่ 2 ขอให้ท่านดำเนินการกรอกให้ครบทุกช่อง โดยให้ดูจากหนังสือเดินทางของบุคคลต่างด้าวเป็นหลัก เนื่องจากรายละเอียดของบุคคลต่างด้าว ซึ่งบุคคลต่างด้าวเขียนให้ก่อนเข้าพักอาศัยมักไม่ถูกต้อง และการกรอกให้ใช้วิธีพิมพ์หรือเขียน ถ้าเป็นการเขียนให้เขียนเป็น BLOCK LETTER และมีข้อพึงระวังในการกรอกดังนี้ 1. ชื่อคนต่างด้าว ต้องเว้นช่องว่างระหว่าง ชื่อตัว ชื่อกลาง ชื่อสกุล ให้เห็นชัดเจน 2. เลขที่หนังสือเดินทาง หากมีตัวหนังสือข้างหน้า หรือข้างหลังตัวเลขให้เขียนลงไปด้วย 3. ช่องบัตรขาเข้าเลขที่ ให้กรอกเลขที่บัตรขาเข้า(บัตร ตม.6) ซึ่งแนบอยู่ในหนังสือเดินทาง โดยกรอกเช่นเดียวกับ 4. การกรอกเลขที่หนังสือเดินทาง กล่าวคือ หากมีตัวหนังสือ ให้กรอกตัวหนังสือลงไปด้วย 5. วันเดินทางเข้า หมายถึง วันที่คนต้างด้าวเดินทางเข้ามาในราชอาณาจักรไทย สำหรับวันที่เข้าพัก ให้กรอกลงในแผ่นหน้าของใบแจ้งรับคนต่างด้าว เข้าพักอาศัย พนักงานเจ้าหน้าที่จะตรวจสอบข้อมูลในแบบ ตม.30
